Yahoo! News is gathering brief first-person accounts, photos and video from the severe winter weather in the northeastern United States. Here's one resident's story.
FIRST PERSON | Nemo left less than a foot of snow in central New Jersey. The skies are a clear blue this morning, with bright sunshine. The major roadways, Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike, are reported to be passable. The shoveling crews have already done our sidewalk, and the street in front of our house was plowed early this morning.
Best of all, the power is still on. Those of us gun-shy after losing power during "Superstorm" Sandy breathed a huge sigh of relief this morning. But further up the coast in Connecticut there are reports of almost three feet of snow and many thousands without power.
